This movie is hilarious. I have never laughed so much ever. It has great acting, affects, dialogue, and especially superb humour – everything you need in a great movie. The movie does have a few scenes that drag out but all in all it’s a must have for all comedy fans and is suitable for basically all ages. Buy it – You definitely won’t be disappointed!!!!!!!!

After the release of Jake Blues from prison, he and brother Elwood go to visit the old home where they were raised by nuns. They learn the church stopped its support and will sell the place to the education authority, and the only way to keep the place open is if the $5000 tax on the property is paid within 11 days. The brothers want to help and decide to put their blues band back together and raise the the money by staging a big gig. As they set off on their "mission from god" they seem to make more enemies along the way. Will they manage to come up with the money in time?

This movie is absolutely hilarious and wonderful for the whole family. Possibly the best movie ever. It combines hilarity, car chases, blues, jazz, gospel, and kickass lines to make a big pile of Blues Brothers goodness. You will be singing the songs from the movie and quoting lines forever.

This movie got me into Blues in a big way.

I find that musicals tend to grate on my nerves, but The Blues Brothers is quite a different story, featuring some wonderful numbers by the likes of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and Jim Belushi and Dan Akyroyd themselves. A rollicking chase film about a Blues band getting back together to raise money for 'a mission from God'. Carrie Fischer also turns in a delightfully wicked appearance.

This is the funniest movie, it has also the best car chase scene of all time. Fantastic music, brilliant script, wonderful acting. The line "I'm on a mission from God" lives loud. Aretha Franklin, brilliant. I watched this with my kids and they loved it too, a comedy for all ages (well, not the little ones) and musical tastes. Gotta get this one!

Classic movie of all time, will make you laugh and laugh again. If your in to blues music or are any bit funky at all you will really dig the music in this flick. Made in the 80's i still watch this movie over and over and laugh every time. Dan Akroid does an awsome job and is probably his best movie i reckon.

My family and I really enjoyed this movie. It is simply hilarious and filled with some absolute stand out musical numbers from such greats as James Brown, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin. John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd are fantastic as brothers trying to reform their old band in order to save the Catholic home where they were raised. Filled with some wild slap stick humour but great fun overall for the whole family.

I am not sure how or why this movie works but it does. Basically it is a movie made up of musical performances, famous cameos and quite possibly the largest and greatest car chase scene ever put on film. I enjoyed every minute of it but I really couldn't tell you why nor can I explain the plot because there wasn't much of one.
