Physicists Leonard and Sheldon understand everything from the inescapable pull of a black hole to the intricate structure of the atom. But take those atoms and assemble them into a woman, and their comprehension comes to a grinding halt. And when penny, a woman with all those atoms in all the right places, moves in across the hall, Leonard and Sheldon's universe begins to expand in ways they never could have imagined.
When series creators Chuck Lorre (Two And A Half Men) and Bill Prady (Dharma And Greg) combine equal parts science, superheroes and sex and add stars Johnny Galecki (Roseanne) and Jim parsons (Judging Amy), the result is an explosively funny comedy for the nerd in all of us.

A fresh look at social interactions from the view point of the socially challenged. For those blessed enough to understand all the in jokes this is an absolutely hilarious piece of television. Characters such as Sheldon will have you wondering why their mothers even let them out of the house (possibly explains it) to Howard, who still lives with his mother and thinks he's every woman's fantasy. A great season ending and glad it has been followed up by additional seasons. A must watch for the inner geek.
Hilarious, at first I didn't think it was going to be funny when I first saw it on T.V but it is now one of my favourite programmes. Sheldon is very funny with the things he does, he is a truely unique character. Definately watch it!
i love this show.
not only is it funny, it does so without cras sex jokes.
everyone can watch it and find something funny in it, and you will find the nerd amongst you.
One of the best comedy shows of the 2000's. Intelligent humour with the right mix of slapstick. Bonus feature - Quantim Mechanics of the Big Bang Theory: a behind-the-scenes look into geek chic. Highly Recommended.
Season 1 brings laughter. In fact the laughter is endless. Emmy nominated for his role, Jim Parsons brings forward the quirks of Sheldon living with the adorable, verging on desperate Leonard (Johnny Galecki) who, with both of their disfuntional friends, lead us into the hilarity of a bunch of Nerds who have no common sense. So what happens when the new girl next door is the beautiful and alluring Penny (Kaley Cuoco)? Well embarresment, outragousness and a whole lot of funny, as these two types of people clash you find yourslef in for the most incredible comedic rollarcoaster of your life.
I love Sheldon. He makes the shows. Geeky humour. Not too fond of the blonde, never liked her in Charmed and still don't like her. The boys are great though. The four of them work really well & are so different to one another but all the same still nerds or Geeks LOL
the best tv show for ages, finally a show that shows hpw the other half live. a show with humour and things that can happen in the every day life of a geek... and also proff that the geek can get the girl
