i agree with a previous reviewer: watch before sunrise first before you watch before sunset. i love these two films, i love how ethan hawke and the french lady actually collaborated in writing them, they are such adorable little rambling films that make the viewer feel like theyre just watching a day in the life of these two people

Here we have an amazing film.

But if you haven't seen the Original 'Before Sunrise', don't watch this just yet. First see Before Sunrise and then see Before Sunset.

Both are amazing films. Not much plot here and the whole movie is just talk. But that's why it's soooo amazing.

It envolves around Jesse, a writer from the US, and Celine, a Frenchwoman working for an environment protection organization, acquainted nine years ago on the train from Budapest to Vienna, meet again when Jesse arrives in Paris for a reading of his new book. As they have only a few hours until his plane leaves, they stroll through Paris, talking about their experiences, views and whether they still love each other, although Jesse is already married with a kid.

It's a great film. I really like it a lot.

If you are considering watching Before SUNSET prior to watching Before SUNRISE - don't. Stop right there and first watch Before SUNRISE. Then wait a few months, and then watch Before SUNSET. Doing this will irrevocably cement the bond between the two and legitimize the effect.

Before SUNRISE is perfect, with great acting. Before SUNSET, however, when bootstrapping onto Before SUNRISE, gains remarkable momentum and sparkles with reverent genius at every given angle, making this complimentary pair of productions greater than the sum of their whole. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delphy in both films render award winning performances, however Ms. Delphy takes off for the stars in Before SUNSET and perfects the portrayal of her character.

Classic! One of my favourite movies of all time! 5 STARS – No DVD collection is complete without this title amongst it. Powerful performances, superb production value with strong clear direction… a masterpiece. A must see for all movie fans, some might not agree with me but this film with live on for many years after the actors have all but been forgotten.

wow, what a beautiful cover (could not resist, lol), worthy of this poignant little movie. it is simply a rambling little film, nine years after their only night together ethan hawke and his french girl reunite in paris and spend another day together. the ending is ambiguous, and hauntingly beautiful. dont miss this
