This is a great family story that is emotionally charged, if you are that way inclined. It is heart rendering, sad but with a very happy ending. I would have no hesitation in recommending this movie as a must watch. As for the rating its better than good its excellent.

This is a good movie, has an excellent supporting and lead cast. The score was incredible, my only reason this movie was not great was because of the pacing. I enjoyed the story and characters so much, Robin Williams plays a vivid character. The story was a solid entry into a classic fairy tale entry and is an enjoyable film for all ages.
If you have a strong appreciation for music or cinema, then you might enjoy this film, if you have a problem with pacing in movies you most likely will lose interest relatively quick.

This movie has a great story, some great music and a lovely performance by Freddie Highmore as August Rush. It is a movie for a lazy sunday afternoon and will leave you wanting more.
