Attention all lovers of music. An outstanding film that powerfully depicts the dangers of falling in to controlling relationships. What Daniel does for so many members of this small Northern Sweden community is help them find the strength to persue their dreams and passions despite the risk of condemnation from others. Daniel allows anyone to join the church choir and through their singing each member is awakened to what is really important. The scene toward the end at the music festival is the most powerful piece of cinematography I have seen. You'll need to own this one because, like me, you'll want to watch it every time you need to lift your spirits.

Relaxed, very Scandinavian, humourous and yet exceptionally subtle and insightful in ways that American movies cannot seem to allow themselves to delve into. I *very* rarely purchase DVDs - but this movie is an essential that will be watched many times over the next many years......

as it is in heaven was in my opinion a good movie that I thought was well written with a well thought out story line and a believable plot.The level of acting in this movie was of a good standard with all lines delivered in a well timed manner and it was this and the story lines as well as the interesting characters which made this movie enjoyable to watch.
If you enjoy a well made movie I think you will enjoy this movie and as such is recommended by me.
