although it can be a bit glitchy at times (which is pretty easy to fix, look up the 'complete mod') it is thoroughly immersing and enjoyable if your into any modern style rpg's, more hardcore fps's, or have any interest in sci-fi, horror or angry Russians. you can easily pour hours into the well written, non-linear story progression with missions ranging from carefully traversing dangerous anomalies, to gun fights with the local bandits and stalker's, to hunting or being hunted by vicious mutants and be completely drawn into the fell crafted and intense atmosphere.
