Fantastic game, made by the same team that brought us GTA IV. This is better than that in almost every single way. The free roaming nature of the game is truely something else and while the story/characters are lacking at times, the fun to be had with this one more than makes up for it and then some.

Looks, sounds and feels like a western should.

An excellent foray into the wild wild west by long time established game developers Rockstar. Based very much on the run and gun mechanics and gameplay of GTA4 (just with horses) the seemingly flawless formula for success emerges from the dust to find its gamers with at least 20 hours of solid gameplay.

Do you love stories of the wild west? Do you like GTA? If you do, This is the game for you! This is basically GTA Wild West. With a deep story and tons of hours you can put in this game, This is a must buy. Also once your done you have a solid online side that can give you 100's of hours of entertainment.

Bloody fantastic game. Gorgeous detailed world, vividly realised, beautiful landscapes and characters. A real treat. The physics engine delivers obscenely realistic take-downs with firearms and melee weapons... and I never tire of slaughtering and skinning all the many and varied little critters that scurry around, just screaming for the bullet! Animal rights you may ask? The hero of Red Dead Redemption would reply: animals have only one right - the right to be tasty!

If you only buy a game or two a year make this your game. Red Dead has a story that hooks you from start to finish and so many side missions and random events you almost can not get through the main story.
Not a cut scene skipped during the entire game as the voice acting and script is A++
Some of the best lighting effects in any game, best sunsets and amazing clouds all rendered in their wild west beauty.
More than just GTA on horses, this is in a league of it's own.
Online is superb, lots of missions, co-op and single fun online. Plus linked to Rockstar Social Club so you can see you stats in the world or local eye at any time.
Rockstar nailed it with this one. I you like FPS or TPS or any sort of shooter this is for you.

Two words: BUY IT!!

An excellent cowboy game. If you liked the game 'gun', then you will truly love this game! I you like hunting animals, if you love riding horses, if you love getting bucked of wild horses, if you love shooting criminals, then this is the game for you!
