This freedom of play is also extended via new AI routines designed to place every move and decision into the player's hands. No longer will assisted AI intervene during matches; users will now need to sense and react to threats intuitively as opposed to chasing the ball; and passes will not automatically reach the nearest player. Instead, all-new routines facilitate complete control both of the player and their chosen actions in every respect to give the player sublime control over every movement.
Key to PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011's new approach is a specially designed control system that allows total control over every element of play. The triangulation of passes and making space using clever runs becomes paramount, and building up a play will pay massive dividends. Additionally, dribbling and close control are tougher to master, and the days of making streaking runs through the centre of the park are over, as PES mirrors the real-life soccer.

pro evo has been on a downward spiral since the pes 6 days, so i really hoped this game would be getting it back on track. unfortunately it falls well short. it can be fun at times but the flaws in the game make it more frustrating than fun. i'm just going to talk about the gameplay, because thats all that matters to me. much has been said about the master league and game modes. as for the commentary, lack of licenses etc. if you love pro evo, then you know these things arent important.
pros-
the graphics are very good and the animations are realistic.
the new passing system is excellent, it will drive you insane at first as you stroke pass after pass out of play, but once you get used to it youll be pinging passes all over the park. but you have to ditch the d-pad and use the stick, or youll struggle to get it to work.
keepers now seem to have grown hands again, and are able to catch balls now which is good.
new tactics setup is at first a bit tricky but works well.
online is much improved, have played many games with virtually no lag. but they dont deserve a pat on the back for this. other games have been lag free online for years and the fact its taken them this long is a disgrace.
