Took advantage of a 'too good to be true' price on Fishpond for a 120GB PS3 Slim for $310AUS. While it was delayed a week, hands down a ridiculous bargain in comparison to the same model priced elsewhere (and now here) for 40% more. I'm still amazed at the deal I received.
I'd also like to note this is my 2nd PS3, the first a US backwards compatible one still going strong after 3+ years. These are wonderful units, wonderfully useful as a media server + BluRay player (the purpose of the new slim one) even if you never play a game on it.

I used to play the N64, then an Xbox, and the Xbox 360 for the PS3. And let me say, PS3 leaves the Xbox 360 for dead, especially in the lovely slim version. All you need is a good HDMI cable and the PS3 becomes not just a console, but a complete entertainment system - photos, videos, internet browser, anything and everything you could want, the PS3 provides. My personal favourite feature is the built-in blu ray player and upgrading of regular DVDs to their highest possible output quality. I can't say enough good things about the PS3 - it's the best purchase I've made in years.

I have had this console for more than 3 months now, never had a problem with it, and i have also compared it to my friends older version of the ps3, i noticed that the older version heats up faster than this version, so i'd say this is definitely worth buying

Took about 1.5 weeks to arrive, great price and working fine. No complaints here if you want a cheap PS3 and you are willing to wait the shipping time definetly worth getting

Replaced RROD Xbox360 and PC with this. Performs all streaming perfectly via ReadyNAS.
