I bought this for my son who loved the movie. He is really enjoying the game and being able to be part of the world of pandora. You get to be either one of the na'vi, or the human,s and the graphics are quite realistic, although he says that a 3D version would be even better! Great idea to include a collectable figurine in the pack.

James Cameron Avatar is a movie game that tried to not be a movie game, But does it work? Yes and kinda No.. At the begging of the game you are getting warmed up playing as a RDA solder, You do this for a good 30 minutes, Then you get a choice, Do you want to take the RDA solder path or do you want to become a Navi? This is when the game splits and you start playing what ever story side. This is a good idea and also gives more replay value to the game but this is also where the "No" part comes from. If you play as a solder you will quickly be playing the same thing over and over again, You must activate this or protect that until you beat the game, The Navi is about the same, They basically just put a new skin on you and a few bits of story. The jump from solder to navi can also be tuff. The Navi have primitive weapons at the start and this can really put you off from wanting to play as them since the NDA solder has a ton of weapons.
Avatar is a fun game and it is a long game with a bit of replay value. The graphics are good for a "movie game". The camera and controls can be frustrating at times but you will get use to it. If you loved the movie, Check out the game.
