Gears of war 2 follows the story of the first. The antagonists of the game, the locust are sinking cities, and its up to you and your squad to stop them. The single playe is just as good as the multiplayer. The single player is split into 5 chapters, and each chapter puts you in a different environment, from in undergrounds caves, to a research facility, to the central of a large city. The gameplay is what makes the game really fun. It is a cover shooter, pop out of cover shoot, rinse and repeat, might sound monotonous, but i assure you it isn't.

The multiplayer is very fun, when you get a good connection, but if you can't find a decent connection, then there are bots, so you can play against the computer. However these in no way replicate a real person.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is a shooter fan

I got this game when I purchased my 360. It was the main reason to get the console (along with wanting to player Halo 3). I played the first on my underpowered PC and really wanted to play the sequel. The story in the campaign was OK although a bit cheesy. The game mechanics were like the first and very enjoyable. The sequence playing in the dark were very thrilling.

Didn't play the multi player at all but as a single player experience it is a great game.

This pretty much sums up the plot for the game gears of war 2. The game play is fantastic, flows really well (bar the externally annoying crane level were mark never gets on the dam thing". The scenes are great works of distorted beauty. The action is externally gored based and is not for the faint of hearted, it can be summed up in two very power manly words "chainsaw duels". The game received a metascore of 93. This game is a must if you have a 360
