If you're a fan of third person action games, you can't go past this title from the creator of Devil May Cry. Deep and incredibly satisfying combat system, awesome visuals and a heavy dose of Japanese insanity. Fantastic!

Technically this game is a masterpiece, with brilliant visuals and excellent use of color. There were some minor screen tearing (particularly chapter 2 town square), and some framerate slow downs when there's alot of enemies on screen, but these were very occasional so didn't hinder the enjoyment much.
Gamplay wise I think its as good as it gets. You have multiple weapons which can be mixed on arm and foot, and can change between 2 sets in real time during battle. But what really shines is the responsiveness of the character, and the ease of being able to string together attacks or cancel/evade anytime u want. She moves like a dream.
The only gameplay thing I didn't think was that good was the use of magic. There are items u can purchase that lets u use different magic abilities, however them abilities felt redundant and I find myself mostly just using the already-available Torture attack whenever I charge up the magic gauge.
Now story and pacing wise, I agree its not very good. While i like the setting and background, plot points were often out of place and/or happened too quickly/slowly. Characters see to pop out of nowhere too.
One last thing, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the presentation of the boss battles! The encounters are all set up well and have amazing backgrounds and situations that spell EPIC. There wasn't a major boss battle fought that I didn't stare at my screen in awe.
In summary, I really enjoyed this game and highly recommend it to fans of action games with the ingenious Japanese over-the-top flair + humour. Considering Platinum Games (and Team Little Angels) is a relatively new company, I think they really created something amazing here, and I look forward to a sequel or other new titles from them.
