About the Author
Danny Wallace is a writer and television presenter, who wears glasses and used to have a cat. His first solo book, Join Me, was described as a 'word-of-mouth phenomenon' by The Bookseller and 'one of the funniest stories you will ever read' by the Daily Mail. His second book, Yes Man - in which he decided to say 'Yes' to everything has been made into a film starring Jim Carrey. Very funny story of a guy from east London, who found it simply easier to say No than Yes. I call it the "Stuckinarut & scared of approaching30 syndrome". He has an epiphany by this random stranger on a beautiful london bus and from that moment, he starts to says Yes to everyone and everything. Its very strange, but when Danny recalls the conversation, it doesnt seem to be the most uplifting or phenomenal outburst any has quoted. But its enought for Danny, it changes his world! Its gets him into a heap full of comical trouble, but simultaneously he travels the world, just because he said "yes". He even creates a "Yes Scale", to determine the severity of the consequence.
I was on holiday sailing in Croatia, this book was recommended to me by a fella friend, who lived in the same apartment block as Danny Wallace! After about 10 mins into reading the book, I was laughing so loud at the top of the deck, that I ended up having an audience that I was reading to. I read about 3 chapters to them in the end!! This book is a great inspiration and provided many hours of comedy! I was actually so disappointed when it ended. I went out and bought Join Me!
Just talking about it, makes me want to read it again... So I am!
