Useful book for would-be fantasy writers, and also for fantasy role-playing gamers. Nowhere near as "complete" as the title claims, and there are mistakes too - e.g., nonsense about weights and use of weapons in the arms and armour chapter. Overall, OK, and cheap.

Great Book. Gives good detail on some obscure cultures and some intresting ancient systems from astrological to magic. A good overview of fantasy creatures and magic. As a beginner fantasy writer and avid reader I advise this to any fantasy writer,writer or just a info reader as it is a good source of broad variety of knowledge.
