Ann Granger has worked in British embassies in various parts of the
world. She met her husband, who was also working for the British
Embassy, in Prague and together they received postings to places as
far apart as Munich and Lusaka. They are now permanently based in
Oxfordshire.
Her first novels were historical romances published under the nom
de plume Ann Hulme. Jonathan Newth was born on March 6, 1939 in
Devon, England. He is an actor, known for After Henry (1988), The
Affair of the Necklace (2001) and Far from the Madding Crowd
(1967).
'The village mystery observes more stringent procedures than a
military task force ... Ann Granger knows the drill so well she
could write a manual.'
