This manual of the theory and practice of Witchcraft is aimed at the serious student. It is written conversationally, talking to the individual, as though the student was being trained through the author's coven. It is a comprehensive textbook for both solitary and group practice, covering the philosophy, the disciplines involved, the meaning and practice of ritual, applicable alternative studies and the attitudes required for successful spell-crafting.

Have only marked it as a 4 as I have not finished it yet. It has only been a short period of time that I have been involved with "The Craft" and this book has been a tremendous help. Ly is so down to earth and the best thing is that she is Australian. Her explanations are clear, precise and so very understandable for a beginner like me or somebody more advanced. I fist picked up her book "When I See the Wild God" more for men than woman, but I got so much out of that one I could not wait until I got a copy of "Theory and Practice" and so very pleased I did. I would highly recommend it but be warned, you will want to read and then re-read it and will not be able to put it down. I wish she would write more. Just a wonderful teacher and she encourages you all the way through, such an asset when learning. I think she is remarkable.
