After losing his lifelong mate to a gruesome accident, the powerful & masculine Lykae warrior spirals into a deadened state of hopelessness. This remains unchanged until he meets a beautiful young witch named Mariketa who with green eyes & flaming red hair tempts him & en-flames his desire to fever pitch. Bowen comes to realization that fate my have given him another chance at having a mate that he has so long has craved for. It starts off like every love/hate story, he hates what she is (a witch) & she isnt exactly keen on him either but after a while neither of their biases against each other can override their desire. He ends up pursing Mariketa with all the strength & seductive power he possesses... determined to wear down the defenses that she so desperately but fruitlessly clings to. His goal - to protect, keep, claim & mark her as his own. Forever.
Out of all of the males in the immortals after dark series Ive found that Bowen is by far the most endearing. He may be an incredibly powerful, possessive & hot (did I mention he's hot?) warrior but he gives off a real sense of boyish vulnerability. All of Kresleys books youll find the males have a measure of this but Bowen was the one I felt for the most. Despite his incredible manliness he has a certain quality about him that you just fall for. Mariketa is a great character aswell who makes you laugh & jousts as good as she gets but Bowen is the character that makes this book a great read. Despite it being predominantly romantic/erotic like Kresleys other novels it also has its share of great action, shocks & LOLs. An awesome book. Pick it up. It might suprise you.

I loved Bowen, what an wonderfull character, This book is my fave in this series, but I do love a Hot Lycan. The story is great and so easy to read but very hard to put down. I love a book where you can really feel everything that is going on, and feel the emotions of the characters. Kresley Cole writes a great story and aways makes you want the next book.

I am really suprised but I loved the Bowen character....I got a tease of him in no rest for the wicked and so wanted more. Thanking you Kresley Cole I do love a dark tortured character and Bowen did not disappoint. He was wicked strong and so totally messed up that I wanted to hug him through the book. The humour in this series is fantastic and that along with the story lilne just leaves me wanted more everytime. I love the way KC gives hints of her side characters which always sends me out searching for there stories. Enjoy this story for what it is an fast paced funny and very sexy story with characters you cant hepl but love and hate.

Liked this book, although I do get a tad fed up with the stereotypical characters. Not to be taken seriously by a long chalk.

Bowen MacRieve of the Lykae clan was nearly destroyed when he lost his lifemate 200 years ago. He has taken no other to his bed since then, until he meets the witch, Mariketa the Awaited. Mariketa may be his enemy, but she awakens his darkest desires. When sinister forces conspire against her, and Mari is stripped of her powers, she finds herself fighting side by side with the Highlander who is her sworn adversary, and whose heart is believed by all to be sealed shut. Not with her, though, for between these enemies passion ignites, even though a future together is impossible. I loved the character of Bowen in the novel ‘No Rest for the Wicked’, and he is just as wonderful here. [Be warned, lots of Scottish dialect.] Cole just gets better and better. If you’ve enjoyed the others, you’ll love this one.

Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night
Kresley Cole's third book in the Immortals After Dark Series and it certainly meet expectations, a fast paced interesting story and plot lines with constant twist's in the story that certainly make for an excellent read.
The characters of Bowen and Mariketa are well written with the usual Cole humour and fast paced action with many different plot lines developed for possible new story lines.
A Excellent read.
