What a fantastic book with a great message. I currently work in a childcare centre and this book is great doe explainig and showing the children inclusion and diversity. The pictures and fantastic and the message of that everyone is the same on the inside, but may look different on the outside was really powerful. Great illustations and easy text for the younger children to read and understand.

Mem fox has a real gift for making a very complex issue very simplistic for children. My son who is not yet even two years old is captivated by the beautiful pictures. Not only is this book great for kids but I have also used it in a training program with adults to help them begin to think about diversity and multicultural issues. The simple message that Mem conveys really hits home with many adults.
