Up in the clouds near the blue of the sky,
a mother and baby are somewhere nearby.
Are they high in the mist or somewhere down low?
Where did the mountain gorilla go?
Emily Bornoff is a children's picture book designer, writer and illustrator working in traditional print-making techniques including lithography, screenprinting, intaglio and relief. Having recently graduated from the Cambridge School of Art's Children's Book Illustration programme she is now focused on creating new children's picture books and prints.
This spotting book carries a strong environmental message and
offers parents an excellent opportunity to discuss the plight of
endangered species with their child. [...] Bornoff's lovely
patterns and the playful hide-and-seek elements make this a
charming, interactive title and it also has a fascinating
non-fiction element; every animal in there is endangered. Learn
where in the world they come from and what is being done to save
them. A good way to highlight their plight, and a beautiful
hardback book.
