A good basic book for answering those first questions about "where did I come from?". I was disappointed that it showed the baby being bottle fed rather than breastfed - that led onto all sorts of other questions and just didn't seem right.

We love this book and we have a copy on our kids' bookshelf to read anytime they want. It is a very gentle way to ease into talking about the birds and the bees without giving too much information to small children. We found it very factual and to the point. There is a lot of information not covered in this book (it doesn't actually mention sex at all) but it gives an accurate account of how babies are made. I also liked that it focused on self care and having a healthy body too. This book is not wordy so it keeps the attention of young kids and it uses simple words. If you are having a baby soon or have been asked where babies come from, this book is a great place to start the discussion.
