About the Author

Penelope Green was born in Perth and lived and worked in Sydney before moving to Rome in 2002. She is in her early thirties and works part-time for a web company, which allows her also to travel, study Italian and write columns, in English, for a national newspaper, Corriere Della Sera. As well, she works a weekly shift in a Roman wine bar and writes occasionally as a freelance journalist for various publications, including Marie Claire.
