No doubt about it, Hugh McKay is an astute observer of the human paradox. I couldn't put this book down. I read it form cover to cover and I now I am going back through it again, to pick up some of the finer details. What Makes Us Tick is the book you read when you want the "inside story" about what drives us.
The difference between what you read here and what you will read in the mountain of Pop Psychology texts is clearly obvious - Hugh does his homework and that makes him a very clear " cut above the rest.
I rank this book in my top 10 for 2010. It is a must read for everyone, and it is very readable, in every respect.
