Beautiful and hilarious sequel to 'The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever'. Unusual courtship rituals, mystery and intrigues, and witty dialogues pepper this book like a well-seasoned dish. A good read for those who need a good laugh with their romance novels.

Awesome sequel to The secret Diary of Miss Miranda Cheever! Lady Olivia finally meets her match in Sir Harry Valentine and love and mayhem ensue with Julia Quinn's usual witty repartee. A must read for any romance fan, and any fan of Julia Quinn.

This book follows up 'The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever'. Olivia Bevelstoke is the sister of Turner, Miranda's love interest. The book is of course set in London at the height of the season. Olivia begins spying on her next door neighbour, Harry Valentine, who engages in unusual behaviour. Valentine works for the war office as a translator, and notices Olivia's attention. His first intention is to ignore her, but then he receives orders from his superiors that Olivia is frequenting with a traitor and needs to be watched. Comic relief comes in the form of Valentine's cousin, Sebastian, whose own book will be out next year.
