If you are ever interested in DIY and wanted something other than an in-law or big brother to learn off, then this is as good a place to start. Before you even start to wonder if reading another book will drive you crazy then trying to learn a skill such as welding with out investing in a practical course or programme would probably achieve the same outcome.

This book gives you a sound introduction and general overview of what you should expect when working with metal, gas, electricity and heat. You'll learn all you need to know in theory and the rest is left to your enthusiasm to apply. Chemistry, safety, visual clues and preparation its all there!!!
