My favourite track on this release is the follow up cut "There For You", Damian delivers an outstanding track with some very real lines. The single "Welcome to Jamrock" is good, non-practiced reggae listeners like myself need to give it replay to catch the real lyrical value of the track. A couple of decent tracks follow then the Roots lead rapper Black Thought and Stephen Marley drop in for the deep "Pimpass Paradise" a track about the perils of drug addiction. Another great track is "Road to Zion", Damian Marley shines again while Nas makes a brief but solid appearance. The closing tracks "In 2 Deep" and "Khaki Suit" feat. Bounty Killer and Eek-A-Mouse close the album off well.

Welcome To Jamrock is one of the most memorable Reggae albums to come out in recent times. It was liked by the general public and the roots-reggae crowd alike. It also had significant success on the charts. There are good reasons as to why as well. This album is lyrically deep, and the quality of music is likewise the same. With the success of his latest single(see album title)Jr Gong has raised some eyebrows with controversial but truthful lyrics:"Poor people are dead at random/The youth them get blind by stardom/ Welcome to Jamrock/Out in the streets, they call it murder!". The whole song is a quotable.
Ipod worthy:

Damian Marley is on a mission, to expose the truth using the universal language of music. The track "Beautiful", where Jr Gong collaborates with Bobby Brown, to make truly extrodinary music. The most moving track is a legendary collabo with hip hop legend Nas on the moving track "Road To Zion". Overall Damian Marley does not dissappoint, Jr Gong will carry on from where his father left off.
To further the Marley name.
