A really good read.A nice big, hard covered book, with really big writing and some really great photos,(Mostly from Em's private, photos). I really dig this guys music, lyrics,beats and he's acting abilities.This book, he wrote mostly for the rememberance of,"Proof", he's best friend and Em's right hand man, on stage and on he's C.D's,(That's why hes being very quiet, with he's own stuff and been busy with others,eg;Dre, Tu Pac, Fiddy Cent, etc.).It is going to be interesting to hear his new album,"Relapsed",released next month, without,"Proof","May he rest in peace". In this book, (if you did not realise),Eminem, tells about his frienship with Proof,how much they meant to each other, how they met,("8 Mile", the movie is basically,based on this),ironically.He shares how close he was to Proof and how his death has and still is, affecting him, very much. I find this quite sad, as Proof was such a great guy and to hear of his death, even upset me!A DVD is enclosed in the back of the book.It does'nt go for that long and does have a lot of personal stuff.I thought it could of gone for a lot longer and could of included some old footage with Proof when he use to have dreadlocks.He looks real cute with them.Some baby photos of Eminem and Hley Jade.A photo of him with his, dad, his 2x dead uncles,( both by suicide)and a general story of how he grew up, what he did, who he was with, who influenced him, who he admired,what he did for work,his friends and family. Where he lived, how he met Kim and lots of little stories of differnt avents, in his life. How he got started in Rap,and how he met Dre etc;His life now and his daughters.How,"D12",got started, the invention of his alter ego,"Slim Shady", and heaps of drawings,(he is a really good artist)and some stories of being on tours etc. Heaps of photos of his scraps of his lyrics, and rhymes and ideas and even copies of his movie,"8 Mile",lines.An easy, simple read.
Definitely a great book. This one will definitely stay on my favourite list. This book provides snippets of Eminem's life. Very well written, straightforward, creative, and surprisingly easy to read. Also, includes some private pictures which I found fantastic. Great layout throughout the book. I can never give enough praises on this book. Highly recommended.
