There are paths on high ridges, in open moorland and nature
reserves, along rivers, lakes or the estuary, near waterfalls,
following old mining tracks and among moss-cushioned boulders in
woodlands of oak, beech, ash and birch. This new expanded edition
now contains 20 walks, and includes another fine summit, stunning
views and ancient forests.
Any of these walks can be undertaken by a reasonably fit person.
One walk is has been especially devised so that it, can be
undertaken by wheelchair users ()adults and children) accompanied
by their helpers or parents, and offers splendid views.
The location of each walk is shown on the back cover and a summary
of the key characteristics of each is given. An estimated time is
also given, but for those who enjoy fine views, and are likely to
linger over them, it is best to allow longer.
Each walk has a map and description which enables it to be followed
without further help, but always take account of the weather, and
dress accordingly, especially if you are exploring the higher
routes.
