Brian Aroa presents a cheeky look at life's experiences from tender youth to old age. Dedicated 'to all the people with a wacky sense of humour cause the other buggers won't laugh', Vernon's Vulgar Verses is a hilarious romp through situations that others would take more seriously. From losing your false teeth on the toilet floor to dealing with the mouldering contents of the fridge, from the hazards of swimming in the nude to the sexual frustrations of a husband on Father's Day, nothing is beyond the reach of Brian's satirical pen. About the AuthorBrian Aroa is a poet, inventor and musician. Leader of a 14 piece band for 4 years, Brian has won talent quests overseas, appeared in 4 stage shows at the New Plymouth Opera House, played in halls around Taranaki and in front of an audience of 10,000 at the well-known Bowl of Brooklands. He is the inventor of (among other things) useful gardening gadgets and a hot-air hand-dryer now sold around the world. His poetry is based on life experience - both his and that of others around him. His friends and family are accustomed to being the inspiration behind Brian's verses, and at times it is a dubious honour. Vernon's Vulgar Verses is his first published work. He lives in New Plymouth, New Zealand. |
