Not your usual type of detective story since its set in the future and some of the 'equipment' they use is a bit beyond the norm. Couldn't quite grasp any chemistry between Eve and her husband. Seem far too different and the storyline just doesn't seem to gel their characters enough for me to believe they would be in a relationship. I persevered with an earlier book in the series but only read part of this one before giving up. For the price this book is selling for you might consider it worth the risk but I'll be sticking to the authors Nora Roberts novels.

Wow book 6 of the J D Robb Death Series. This is a very gripping book & had my stomach holding on.

JD Robb's "In Death" series are simply fabulous. Vengeance in Death brings up an old secret of Roarke's - murder cop Dallas's new husband. The growth between the two characters as well as the always thrill of catching the murderer make this book yet another in this series that you can't put down. The past can haunt you like nothing else in this awesome series written by Nora Roberts.

This is the only one of the J D Robb books I just cannot like. I can't say too much because I don't want to give the plot away to those who haven't read it yet (and anyone who has read other books in this series is unlikely to take my word for it about this one - and may disagree with me anyway). I just don't like some of the implications of the discoveries made in this book - in my mind, some things just can't be forgiven. If you've read this book and disliked it, please don't take it as an indication of the series as a whole - try another one, at least, and give Dallas and co. another shot.
