"In Venezia: Food & Dreams, Tessa Kiros explores the magic and charm of the famous Italian city of Venice. She embroiders the recipes of this city of canals, bridges and carnivals with her own unique colours and threads. Venice is Italy's kingdom of salt and pearls, prosecco and mermaids, bigola and polenta. Tessa travels through the city, breathing in its atmosphere and letting its bejewelled past and dark alleyways fuel her imagination. Mingled among Tessa's unique recipes and the stunningly beautiful food and scenic photography are Tessa's diary jottings on Venice's life and culinary delights."

Tessa Kiros's book Venezia is a feast for all the senses. The photography and journal like entries that document her travel experiences are stunning and delightfully frank and real. The recipes seem quite reachable. I have only cooked one dish so far but it's simplicity enabled me to get the idea and adapt to the ingredients I had at hand. I know she has kids and the recipes seem to embrace a family lifestyle of quality, health, affordability and speed! I don't need to have complicated dishes that require a lot of steps and cleaning up in my hectic life with four kids. A real treat- I highly recomend this book even for the story and pictures alone!
beautiful photographs, well written, lovely recipes. Great book for taking you away to another land. Well worth anybody's money. great for christmas and birthdays
This cookbook is a lot like a coffee table book in its layout and fantastic pictures. As with her 'apples for jam' cookbook there are stories and interesting pictures that have little to do with food or her recipes. I think this fact, makes this book more than just another "cookbook". I would recommend this book to anyone with a passion for food!
This is a beautiful book, the photography and recipes are lovely, however I was a little disappointed with the range of recipes. So many include sardines and anchovies, which aren't favourites of mine, so if you're not a big fish lover, it might be best to choose another italian cookbook
