Valhalla is set near the end of SG1 Season seven and has two main thrusts to the storyline. Jonas Quinn is now a scientist on his planet and in need of SG1's help. The twin plots are very Stargate-esque and therefore read well. The author makes a fair attempt at allowing the characters' voices to shine through the text, but it doesn't quite come off. Readers who are really invested in the characters will notice this, but regardless this book is an entertaining read and well written otherwise.
Great Stargate SG1 read. Captures well the personalities and voices of the characters we all know and love. Also manages to capture some of that essence of SG1 that keeps drawing us back to it. If you like SG1 you will like this book. the story is imaginative and exciting and defiantly adds to the story line that we've missed since SG1 ended on TV. read it!
