This is one of the greatest graphic novels I have ever read. The film was great, but this is leaps and bounds above the film. Go back to the source. If you haven't read this graphic novel, you are totally missing out. It's gritty. It's sad. It's vicious. It's very well written and the illustrations are spectacular. It's a big thick volume so the price is really good too.

Whilst only written relatively shortly before Alan Moore's opus, Watchmen, V for Vendetta seems a little juvenile to me. An unstoppable anarchist who is unwilling and unable to take responsibility for his actions terrorises London while thoroughly abusing the 'V' section of his dictionary.
All that said though, this book is worth the price of admission simply for the prison sequence; Moore has a real knack for telling thoroughly touching and human stories inamongst all his other madness.
The art is serviceable, but can get muddy at times, making it sometimes difficult to distinguish between characters.
