This deck is wonderful for beginners (or more seasoned readers!) as it is both symbolically rich, and easy to see stories in the cards. This version has been recoloured by Mary Hanson-Roberts in soft pencils with shading, making the images appear more detailed and less harsh than the usual block colouring of the Rider Waite. Also for learners, most books will talk about this deck, and most other decks are based on it in some way, so if you learn on this one first, you can easily move to others if you feel the need.
