If you want a scientific explanation about ADHD, that is great. Buy this book. If you want an objective point of view without influences from the pharmacuetical industries, then other books will be more relevant. In my personal opinion, I beleive Dr Green does not know enough about ADHD to be giving advice. Buy this at your child's own peril.
I was having lots of "Not so nice thoughts" about me being a mother of a daughter with ADHD. I thought I was a bad mother who didn't know what to do or doing the wrong thing by my daughter. But reading this book made me understand how I was feeling was actually a natural way of being a parent of a child with ADHD. It has lots of information about how to deal with the issues. I'd recommend to all parents who have kids with ADHD.
A great book for newly diagnosed families. It was just like reading a book that had been written about our family. Very reasuring that we are not alone in our struggle and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
My son has ADHD and this book has been a great help. It contains a lot of helpful tips and strategies and it explains a lot about the behaviours that ADHD cause. And it contains a helpful chapter about ADHD in toddlers. I'd recommend this book to all parents of ADHD kids!
Dr Christopher Green takes all the mumbo jumbo out of ADHD and explains in simple terms ADHD. You will find this easy to read and will have a greater understanding of the treatments and medication that are available.
