Highly amusing and well put together piece. For those with a sense of humour you will enjoy the greats such as Wolf's Mrs Dalloway and Joyce's Ulysses in 140 characters or less. An excellent pick me up, and guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone's face. I especially laughed at Hamlet's short sharp overview in 140 character :)

This is not a book to take seriously. In fact, for the 'purists' out there who utterly despise mangling of the classics, steer well away. However, I found it very funny, and although no substitute for reading the actual books themselves, offered some rather clever insights into the book, giving the heroes and heroines from Oedipus Rex to On the Road an ultra-ultra modern point of view.

Warning: you really need to be part of the Twitter Generation to appreciate this book. Unfortunately, I am not. I hate Twitter and I found this book completely stupid and quite redundant. It is a shame that Penguin have lowered themselves to veer away from their favourite classics to something which really is a bit stupid. Having said that, if you are very well read you might find it amusing... if not, just annoying as you won't understand the significance of some of the twitters. Boring boring boring and just another example of how the nation is dumbing down with these social networking sites.
