I havent even received the book yet, but i'm so confident in the work of Alex Grey that i'm am throwing down 5 stars. This guy is inspirational. He is, without a doubt, one of the brightest stars shining in the Modern Art sky.
His collaborative projects with the band Tool are a testament of the talent that both Tool and Alex bring to the art world. Fusing to separate fields, Tool's audio and lyrical message is perfectly complemented by Alex's visual display and message. On their own, they are both brilliant artists, when combined, u have an audio/visual display that would be at home in any art gallery.
Alex Grey's artwork will challenge your perceptions on life, if not, well u must be holding the picture upside down or something.

Before I found Fishpond I paid twice this price for this book, and even so, it was worth every cent. This is an amazing book full of gorgeous, highly detailed photographs of Alex Grey's amazing works. Surprisingly, the writing is equally as interesting as the pictures, a rare find in an art book! This book contains images from Alex Grey's early works and very interesting background detailing his development as an artist. This book is a must have for all fans of art, anatomy and the band Tool.
