When I bought my young horse I also bought a number of training books about young horses. A friend recommended this as a must have book, and this is by far the most useful that I have bought. It goes through the different stages in a young horses training right from early foal handling through to backing, from imprinting at birth to trailer loading and washing. It also shows some good examples of young horses not understanding cues (including some great photos) and how to overcome this. A good mixture of basic horsemanship and an easy to use and follow book and I have used this book on many occasions.

A very comprehensive horse training book, I decided to try starting a horse - and this book accurately discussed building a good foundation to start on and continue with which was highly relevant to my pony who has responded to the foundation by being quite perfect, and in a good routine. His ground manners are impeccable - as he was not allowed to get away with biting etc.. a good foundation was built from the start perfect! :) Very good book to read for any type of trainer!

An amazing book great for all ages it really helps you get know horses and teach you to ride a whole lot better!!!!You won't be able to put the book down.There is nowhere any one with a horse would rather be than on the gorgeous horses back!!!

This is the most practical, useful book I have found.
I have read alot of other very good books but this is broken down in to simple steps that anyone can follow.
