This is a great resource for beginners in family history. This book is simple and easy to follow. It is written in a logical and simple manner.
I purchased the australian edition and found that it was helpful and up to date.
In this field there is so much to learn and so many places in which to find details of ancestors - many of which I hadn't considered prior to reading this book.
The websites included were useful - but obviously this section of the book can date very easily.
I’m glad there are enough diagrams every so often in this book, making it easier to understand their instructions and guidance. The diagrams are well annotated and colour coded, and a makes learning faster. You’ be surprised at how many books lack contents, in fiction or non fiction. What were the publishers thinking when they agreed to such a format? Fortunately this book has a satisfactory contents page that allows structure and promotes the learning of the brain when reading Everything’s logically ordered. With good structure, the info learnt lasts longer in your brain.
