About the Author
Mem Fox is the acclaimed author of many popular children's books including Possum Magic, which is a best-selling children's book in Australia, with more than one million copies sold. In addition to writing children's books, she is a senior lecturer in education. Mem lives in South Australia with her husband. Helen Oxenbury is among the most popular and critically acclaimed illustrators of her time. Mem Fox as usual has writen a stand out book for babies. Simple rhyming text which caters perfectly to babies and toddlers who need lots of time for cuddles, touch and tickles with Mum, Dad or maybe Grandma. The text provides lots of opportunities to tickle your little one toes, or touch their little nose and make them giggle. The only thing more perfect than the simple words are Helen Oxbury's adorable illustrations.
While this book is the perfect book to share with babies and toddlers it is not intended to grow with your child as it is very specifically a babies book. Not one to grow on, more to keep as the perfect momento of your child's babyhood.
It looks to be a lovely book with soft pictures and a nice rhythmical verse. But the 'proof will be in the pudding' when our little girl opens it on Christmas Day. She is 10 months old and I think it will be perfect for her and be loved for a long time.
A lovely story for babies and children with a good message that we are all the same despite our background and culture.
The illustrations are beautiful and show babies of all nationalities.

Best book for babies. My daughter loves this and kisses the little babies on each page. It makes her feel warm and loved before her bedtime. I recommend this as my top story so far for babies as it has a simple rhyme and beautiful illustrations. As for the adult who is reading it, I enjoy to read this to her and I never get bored.
Another great mem Fox title, I purchased this for a friends toddler when she had a new baby and then went out and bought another for my own children. This book celebrates the specialness of every baby and has a sweet, gentle writing style along with gorgeous illustrations. I love just about every book by Mem Fox.
