Written especially for a teenage audience, this handbook relates what it takes and what it means to be a witch. Children learn to deal in a magical way with everyday life and all it entails. Parents can use it as a discussion tool, so that together they can learn the symbols, traditions and beliefs of witchcraft and the Wiccan way.
As a teen this book introduced me to Wicca, as an adult it was the first book that I turned to when I began to study the Craft. I found it's companionable language to be comforting when most Pagan books are: "this is the way I do it and so must you!" It also uses easy to understand terms that grow into the more complicated terms found in most Pagan books. While half of the content is no longer relevant to me as an adult (it deals with teen issues as well as spirituality) the purely Pagan content in easy to understand language made it the perfect starting point in my research toward personal and spiritual growth.
When I picked up this book I didn't really know much about Wicca and this book really helped me see what it was all about. It really show everything you need to know and even has a parent letter at the start (written from the auther who is a mother too!) which always helps.
