This is an easy to read and understand text, with personal stories and practical ideas to support and illustrate the teaching of Aboriginal students. I am studying education at uni and this is one book I am happy to read before other more "academically" written texts. I am sure it will remain on my bookshelf for reference in later years.

Insightfully written, and very readable. Makes a good resource for any one in the teaching profession, with many links and suggested readings. A good accompaniment to the NSW DET Indigenous Education and Training Policy. Aimed to improve outcomes for Indigenous student populations.
