'Teach Yourself Biblical Hebrew' is intended for anyone who wants to be able to read and understand the Old Testament in the original language - language students, priests, clergy, interested lay people. Texts from the Old Testament are used to introduce the language and grammar, and no prior knowledge of any language study is assumed: everything is explained in clear English. The course covers: the alphabet, pronunciation, grammar and syntax, and there is a comprehensive Hebrew-English lexicon at the back of the book.
