Bruce Lee truly was a genious of martial arts. As said above, don't expect it to be a technique "how to" book, its more of an overall theory and philosophy book.
The more philosophical parts of the book at the start show how Bruce Lee saw martial arts, physical training, mental conditioning, and other topics. That part of the book is truly priceless (e.g. "The consciousness of self is the greatest hiderance to the proper execution of all physical action").
He follows on to talk about the theory of combat, from the rythm of blow exchanges, to balance, to ground work. Once again, in a theoretical sense, not a step by step "how to".
If you are a martial artist with an open mind, this book will probably capture your interest. This book would have to be the beginning of the notion of Mixed Martial Arts and diverting from tradition to use the best skills possible. If you want to get an idea of what martial arts is all about without having to read too many "how to" books in different styles, it will probably also be a good read.

Bruce Lee is the greatest Martial Artist and his bool Tao of Jeet Kune Do is all about his own martial art and his own ideas. The book was put together by his wife and a friend, they got up all his notes and put them all together into a book. This book shows Bruce Lee's thoughts on fighting and how to go about it. It is a very detailed book and has very compicated terms and choice of words but if martial arts is your thing it is one for the records.

This is probably my favorite of all the books released detailing Bruce’s fighting philosophy. There is a lot of information here and the practitioner will need to put some of the things together in order to fit their own “way,” but this was after all the main message in my opinion that Bruce was trying to convey and teach. This is a must-have for any martial artist no matter what style they practice.

Thsi book still stands the test of time, although it is more a collection of notes than a cohesive guide to jeet kune do, Bruce Lee's maxim of assimilate what is usefull and reject what is not usefull is well portrayed by his book.
That said if you are looking for a collection of techniques there are better books out there that will give you exactly that, where this book shines is in its philosophy of fighting and the way it gets that message across. Whether you are a fully fledged MMA fighter or a traditional martial artist everyone has somethign to gain from this book.
