This is a great book to start you off on a mixed media journey of your own. It has projects at the end of each chapter with a full list of material required which is very handy and easily converted to products available here in Australia.
It is a very wordy book, which is a good read to get you you into your own creative head space.
Well worth it if you need a boost and are prepared to read not just look at pretty pictures.

I had planned on gifting this book to my artistic sister, but decided against that after opening Kelly Rae's book. This book is inspirational. It can reach out and touch the heart of the non-artist and convert them to believing that they too can be creative by following the creative step-by-step processes in this book.
I am really lOVING this book - as mentioned previoulsy it is quite wordy, however I find that I can pick it up and flick to any chapter and just start reading.
it is visually inspiring as well as soul inspiring - I have already made a few canvas's using the books instructions and I am thrilled with the results!
This book is stunning to look at - absolutely! There are fab mini 'workshops' teaching many varied approaches to mixed media art. Kelly Rae's writing voice is inspiring and gently motivating. This book for me,is one of my beautiful treasures; a mentor -for life and creating- in a book.
An excellent read to inspire and encourage (re) finding your creative spirit. With beautiful photographs and step-by-step instructions for projects to create - or just read to stimulate ideas. Love the biographies and "chats" with featured artists.
This book is a pleasure to read and visually stunning. The projects are a great start to get your creativity off the ground. Besides Roberts herself other artists contribute with projects and insights, which gives the reader a variety of perspectives. If you are keen to explore your creativity through mixed media but not sure where the start, this is definetely the book for you. Happy art-making!
