About the Author

Alberto Minujin is a professor at the Studley Graduate Program in International Affairs at the New School and as well as professor at the University Nacional de Tres de Febrero, Argentina. His publications include Global Child Poverty and Well-Being: Measurement, Concepts, Policy and Action and Child Poverty in East Asia and the Pacific: Deprivation and Disparities. Monica Gonzalez Contro is a professor in the faculty of law and the Institute of Law Research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She holds a Ph.D from the Autonomous University of Madrid and is an honorary councilor of the Mexican National Human Rights Commission and the Mexico City Human Rights Commissions. Raul Mercer is coordinator of the program of social sciences and health at FLACSO (Latin American School of Social Sciences) and a researcher at the Center for Research in Population Health at Durand Hospital in Buenos Aires.
