This is a supernatural novel that reveals a previously unseen adventure for the Winchester brothers, from the hit "ITV Series"! Twenty-seven years ago, Sam and Dean Winchester lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. In the years after, their father, John, taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America...and he taught them how to kill it. Way back in April 1862, Confederate Captain Jubal Beauchamp leads a charge across a Georgia battleground...Fast forward to 2009 and a civil war re-enactment becomes all too real. When Sam and Dean head down south to investigate they find that history has got somewhat out of hand.

Unlike many other fan fiction style books, Supernatural is right on key. Schreiber's books match the standard set by DeCandido, meaning that reading his book is like playing a whole new episode of Supernatural in your head. The scene is set at the beginning of the book, where the author's note places the story in context. Schreiber weaves elements of the Supernatural TV series into his book, adding depth to the story, whilst also including many completely new ideas that aren't covered in the TV series.
