This text is recommended by many Australian universities for SOSE/HSIE studies in Bachelor of Education (Primary) degrees. It would be useful even after your studies to have as reference once you are a teacher. It is recommended for the primary school level and includes examples and tasks that are applicable for the classroom. This text like most of Marsh's work is leading edge and can be referenced. I would recommend buying this book as no doubt you would need it for your studies in SOSE/HSIE even as a backup text for assignments and projects.
