This publication is the Student Manual that accompanies the textbook of the same name by the same author (something to be aware of when ordering!). Corey's presentation of support material for the textbook is a useful additional learning tool alongside the main text, particularly for the self-directed ore external student although could just as easily be used in a class, tutorial or workshop setting as well. It follows the same structure of the textbook and provides a range of quiz, discussion and reflection activities to assist and consolidate learning from reading the main text.

A good support text, probably not as useful on its own without the main text (check ISBN 10: 0495102083 / ISBN 13: 9780495102083).

Yes, photograph of the book cover is misleading, this is not the textbook it is the workbook which is useless without the text.

This is a textbook which is extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this for beginning counsellors/psychologists to get a deep understanding and insight into the basics of the psychotheraphy and counselling. This is a textbook worth buying and reading cover to cover. It isn't word heavy and gives very good examples, providing the reader with a thorough understanding. I would recommend in hard over, only because you refer to it so often, it can get worn.
