We are a homeschooling family who is following "The Well Trained Mind" (also written by SW Bauer) as the foundation of our homeschool. Based on the strength of that book, I purchased this activity guide along with the "Story of the World" storybook. I have found this book indispensible when it comes to teaching history. In particular, the suggested activities like making Nomad huts or "stained glass" really help history come alive for young children. It also helps that my children really enjoy colouring in, as this books has a wealth of historical colouring pictures. I highly recommend this book for at-home history teachers.
