PreS-K Puppy Spot visits his tractor-driving dad on the farm. Dad sets out to show Spot some baby animals. Spot runs here and there, looking in the barn, in the stable, behind fences, and under bushes for the baby animals. He finally finds the piglets that Dad wanted to show him. Spot then finds and shows Dad some baby kittens in a laundry basket. The bright colors, simple text, and large print on heavy paper make the book attractive, but the lift-up flaps (barn doors, bushes, and gates) which open to reveal more animals are not practical for a circulating library collection. Here, he's looking for newborn animals on the farm with his father. After several false starts (a mischievous bunny ``tweets'' behind a bush, the horse hasn't foaled yet), Spot moves in on some piglets and then a few kittens. Telling Mom about it when he gets home is part of the fun, too. Bright colors reveal a hunt that is full of surprises. The spot series are classic childrens literature which are a must have in your childs bookshelf - this one in particular "Spot goes to the Farm" is a delightful story about spot seeing what his dad soes on the farm - he visits all the other animals etc and has a neat time. A very stimulating sotry as you lift the flap - creates alot of excietment for your wee ones:)
These Spot Stories are an absolute must for all young children, I read these stories to my kids all the time and the large pictures and the great stories really catch their attention, Spot is the pick of the bunch, they are alot of fun for everybody, and really enjoyable.

The Spot the Dog series are a great book for toddlers and young children learning to read. I find the ability to interact with these books sets them above the rest. Hey ive kept my collection for my kid! In this book spot goes on an adventure to the farm and gets to know all the faces related to farms.
